FAQs

Who are mobile or portable dental clinics best suited for?

Mobile dental services are ideal for seniors who have difficulty traveling, individuals with physical disabilities or chronic health conditions, homebound patients, residents of care facilities, and anyone who benefits from receiving dental care in familiar, comfortable surroundings.

Can dental treatment be done at home?

Yes, most routine and restorative dental procedures can be safely performed in home settings using our portable professional equipment. We bring everything needed including digital X-rays, ultrasonic cleaning tools, and sterile instruments to deliver comprehensive care.

Is a mobile dentist the same as a tele dentist?

No, mobile dentistry involves in-person clinical care delivered at your location, while teledentistry provides remote consultations via video technology. Mobile dentists perform hands-on examinations, treatments, and procedures using portable equipment.

Do you serve all of San Diego County?

Mostly—we provide mobile dental services throughout the urban areas of San Diego County's diverse communities. If you're uncertain about coverage in your specific area, we'll confirm service availability during the scheduling process.

What is the typical appointment duration?

Standard mobile dental visits range from 45–90 minutes depending on the complexity of treatments and individual patient requirements.

Do you work with Medicare or Medi-Cal insurance?

We do not accept Medi-Cal coverage. Medicare Advantage benefits vary significantly by plan. We are not contracted with any PPO or HMO insurance networks. We verify coverage details in advance and discuss all out‑of‑pocket expenses before beginning treatment.

Can you provide care at senior living facilities?

Absolutely. We collaborate with facility administrators and nursing teams to comply with all institutional policies and complete required documentation.

What happens if I need specialized dental care?

We provide emergency stabilization for urgent conditions and coordinate appropriate referrals to oral surgeons, endodontists, or other dental specialists as clinically necessary.
